Children's Quick and Chunky Double Knit Mittens

You will find these mittens quick to knit up and wonderfully warm for little hands. They have been “kid-tested” by my seven children, and they love them! They have an extra long cuff to keep out the snow and cold and are easily adjusted for the perfect fit. These mittens come in four sizes, plus a bonus Thumbless Mitten pattern for your littlest ones.
Skill Level: Intermediate
Skills Needed • Stockinette Stitch(St st) • Ribbing Stitch • Increasing and Decreasing • Chain Stitch Bind Off
Supplies Needed
Loom: Any small gauge knitting board with pins 3/8” apart. (Sample was made with the Authentic Knitting Board set at standard( ½” spacer) setting.)
Yarn: Acrylic or wool blend chunky/bulky weight yarn—Approx. 140 yds. for the largest size (Samples were made with Patons Shetland Chunky (Large), Lion Brand Chunky USA(Medium, X-small) Sirdar Denim Chunky(Small), and Lion Brand Kids in a Jiffy (Baby Mittens)).
Notions: Yarn needle, crochet hook, scrap yarn of a different color for holding stitches
