  7. I’m trying to create a flat-bottom bag using the blue Knifty Knitter Long Loom and one-over-two stitch. Now here’s my problem: how do I increase and decrease with this stitch (one-over-two), and which are the loops that I should pick to set on the rest of the loom to form the bottom of the bag (an make it look nice)? I tried using some instructions for one-over-one increase and decrease, but when I tried setting the loops over, there wasn’t enough stretch to do it and after some fighting, it looked VERY ugly. I’d appreciate any help you could give.

I have your sock knitting book and would like to make the little green socks with the lacy edge but just can’t do it. It calls for a yo and then an ssk but then you would have two loops on the stitch before the ssk because it already has the loop from the previous row.

    My name is Marió and I live in Spain. I’ve bought 2 books in english because I haven’t found any in Spainsh. But I have a question about the round loom. I’ve read that one way of preventig from twisting is to knit one by one but it takes much more time than wraping the whole loom and then knit. So, is there another way to avoid the twisintg????

    I was so excited to finally find instructions for using the knifty knitter to make the curly scarves using that mesh yarn. However, when I followed your youtube tutorial, my yarn snaps whenever I switch sides! I’m so frustrated! Yours looks so loose and easy! I’m using the exact same purple knitter and yarn so I don’t understand why it’s so tight when switching sides. I’d like to try the purling but it is not as clear. I’ve been using the knifty knitters for years but this mesh stuff is a bit more difficult to work with. Can you offer any help?? Thanks!

    I’ve been knitting on looms for a few months and I’ve noticed that most patterns seem to be for the knifty knitter looms and they say that I can use yarn that’s a 4 weight. I have looms that are loops and threads. On my looms I have to use at least a 5 weight yarn or multiple yarns of lower weight. Would you recommend that I get a set of knifty knitters?

  31. I am baffled by the following instruction for your storybook cloche hat.
    k1, yo, k2, sl1-k2tog-psso, k1, yo, k2, p1; rep from *
    I have spent 3 hours online trying to ascertain how to do this but no one demonstrates this. Is the K2tog moving from peg 2 to 3 or 2 to 3? What does psso mean – is the slipped stitch moved onto the empty peg? Or is the K2tog stitch moved on top of the slipped stitch and that is then knitted? I see someone else asked what yo and psso meant on this blog but there was no answer, nor is it explained in your book Loom Knitting with the all-in-one loom, although the abbreviation appears in the glossary. This is very frustrating. Please reply! (It seems most,queries on this blog go unanswered– or are they answered somewhere else? I am so frustrated that I am thinking of shipping back my loom. I have already abandoned one project because your book for beginners assumed knowledge. I am an experienced needle knitter but the loom seems far more complicated and much slower.

    I stopped writing on my blog about mid-year. I am no longer focusing on this craft as much as I used to and I am not online as much. I am dedicating more of my time to my family and my other hobbies.
