Neus Headband

It is that time of the year when the clock is ticking and we have a gazillion presents to finish knitting. This headband knits up super quick, as in less than 30 minutes from start to finish. Grab your yarn and Flexee Links and get knitting!

Materials

Knitting loom: Flexee links chunky, sample was worked on 20 links.

Yarn: Jumbo weight faux fur yarn, approx 24 yds. Lion brand “Go For Faux” in Chinchilla was used in sample.

Notions: Knitting tool, Tapestry needle, Scissors.

Gauge: not important for this pattern, however, it should be around 3.5-4 sts per 2-inches in stockinette with the ewrap knit stitch.

Size: fits up to a head circumference of 20″

INSTRUCTIONS

Assemble the 20 loom links (40 pegs total) into a circle configurations, connecting the first and last link.

Cast on 40 stitches using the ewrap stitch.

Round 1: Ewrap knit to the end of the round. Recommend to ewrap knit one peg at a time.

Repeat Round 1 until you have about 25 inches of yarn remaining.

Bind off with the basic bind off method.

Weave in all ends. Gently set the stitches by grabbing the cast on edge and the bind off edge, and gently tugging.

Tips: the yarn is very thick, work one peg at a time. If it makes it easier, hook the bottom loop first, then ewrap the peg, then lift the bottom loop off the peg. I used a stitch marker to mark my first peg, it was too small, I probably would use a stitch marker that hung from the peg so I could see it better. To weave in the ends, I usually use a tapestry needle but this yarn is so thick that I ended up using a crochet hook.
